Kentucky’s electric cooperatives are responding to outages as a result of the severe weather moving across the Commonwealth Friday night. Co-ops are reminding consumer-members to stay away from any downed lines.

Governor Andy Beshear has declared a state of emergency and activated the Kentucky Emergency Operations Center. The Kentucky National Guard is standing ready to respond. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials and crews are also on alert, and local emergency management leaders are working to keep Kentuckians everywhere informed.
