2018 Lineman’s Rodeo

The Lineman’s Rodeo attracts the best linemen from around the state to compete in events based on traditional lineman tasks and skills. The first Kentucky Lineman’s Rodeo was held in August 2005, with nearly 70 linemen competing. The Rodeo has grown to over 200 teams and 250 apprentices.

The 2018 Kentucky Lineman’s Rodeo registration information for teams, apprentices, judges and vendors will be posted below.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

New for 2018 – Participants are expected to report to an event at the given time, ready to compete. Failure to report to an event on time will result in an automatic 2-point deduction for that event.

Consideration will be given if the participant is late due to injury or if their previous event ran long and that event judge can verify. Additionaly, participants will not be allowed to complete an event prior to their given time.

The Rodeo Committee voted to have all named events this year. If you have a question about one of these events please contact the person listed beside that event as they will be able to provide you with the best answer.

New for 2018 – Teams must be made up of three participants. When checking in at each event, the team will designate two climbers and a ground-man.
